
Road to UFC 2023 – Season 2 Dates Announced
UFC just dropped the dates for Road to UFC 2023 – Season 2. After the grand success of last season, which saw some of the Asian MMA stars bag UFC contracts; Entire Asia has its eyes on the next season.
As per Rahul Chhabra of All In Sports Management, Road to UFC 2023 is expected to feature eight weight classes and will have women’s Strawweight and Flyweight division too. So far only 5 names from Indonesia are confirmed for the next season.
UFC dropped the dates of Road to UFC 2023 – Season 2 this morning and it is scheduled for 27 and 28th of May. The location is yet to be disclosed however it is most probably Singapore again.
Last season of Road to UFC saw India’s Anshul Jubli win the UFC contract in Lightweight division after defeating Jeka Saragih of Indonesia. Anshul’s success story and then Vikas Singh Ruhil making it to PFL Challenger series has opened the flood gates for Indian MMA fighters to the bigger promotions in the west.
Both Anshul and Vikas Singh Ruhil have fought at Matrix Fight Night (MFN) previously. MFN is South Asia’s leading MMA promotion.
