MFN 6 : Predictions & Breakdown
Coming into the bout, both of the challengers need this win.
Sumeet, likely the best-known Karateka amongst the Indian MMA Circuit today, is currently riding a two-fight win streak over the likes of Pawan Goyat and Angad Bisht, two performances where he outclassed his opponents to his Knockouts. At MFN 5, Sumeet Knocked Out Angad via a flying knee in the first round itself.

On the other side of the cage, Dhruv is coming off of a win. He last fought Sumeet and took a decision win. Dhruv is a purple belt in BJJ and will be looking for a finish on the ground, if he manages to take Sumeet down.
Yet, although both specialists in their respective areas, the ways in which they have translated their skills to MMA have been very different.
Sumeet forces his opponents to fight him in his range, maintaining his long striking range with a vide stance and denying all and any takedown attempts. Dhruv in comparison, although often utilizing his jiu-jitsu and kickboxing, has shown a readiness to test out his opponent’s chin as well.
One of Sumeet’s biggest strengths as a fighter is he is extremely active even in empty space, meaning he is constantly feinting and moving his feet even when the two fighters are not engaging. By doing this, if he can force reactions out of Dhruv, he may be able to chain together big combinations or hide takedown attempts behind his movements.
It’s going to be slugfest between the two as they bring an end to their decade old rivalry. And an absolute feast for the fight fans. This bout for sure is going the distance.
