A new queen of Indian MMA is crowned: Puja Tomar

The card of MFN 10 was opened with a highly anticipated bout. The bout featured Bi Nguyen who went against Indian powerhouse Puja Tomar for the women’s strawweight title. Puja defeated Bi in the second round via TKO by punches.
This is their second meeting with Bi winning their first encounter in 2019 via a decision win. This second meeting of theirs had more stakes on the line with the title up for grabs.
The fight started at a slow pace with both fighters taking a calculated approach. As the round progressed, Puja started opening up but Bi responds in kind. Puja seemed to be more busy using her range and jabs well. Towards the end of the round, Bi gets a takedown but it wasn’t for long as the round came to an end.
The second round started faster. Puja opens well but Bi attempts a takedown and secures it. But tried to establish control in the ground but Puja defends well and in the scramble, she gets out. As she got up, Puja lands a good punch which was followed by a flurry of punches that folded Bi and made the ref stop the fight.
